I just read through the latest marketing requirements document for a new version of one of our products and found this little gem.
The goal is to reduce the need for tools to perform initial installation (“is it working and connected?”) and diagnostics (“can I diagnose the problem without whipping out my tool, or calling in a second-level technician?”) tasks.
This is a good thing to consider. In most cases, whipping out your tool on the job leads to immediate dismissal. If you need a second-level technician to help you whip out your tool, maybe you should consider the adult film industry.
